Uncomfortable Steps…and Great Friends Make For An Incredible Adventure
Coming into 2024, I knew I needed a motto for the year.
A lot of people pick a word for the year, but I needed something more.
I kept seeing and hearing little hints at what it should be…
“Obedience OVER comfort”
Yes. This is the motto I feel 2024 is supposed to represent.
If you know me, you might know that I get excited to start something, but have a fear of finishing that thing successfully.
Weird.🤷🏼♀️ I know, but I’m the minority - I fear success.
Always hiding behind someone else’s shadow or playing it small - afraid of judgment from others with my own work.
When God slammed that door in my face last fall and opened the one I had been praying on and waiting for several years, I knew if I didn’t obey (and obey with a joyful heart) that I would regret it.
So, “obedience over comfort” stepped in and here we are.
Have you ever had those moments where you don’t feel qualified to do something because…
→ maybe you don’t think what you have to say is of any value.
→ maybe it is just really scary to be uncomfortable EVEN though you are excited to do the thing.
→ maybe you doubt your ability to do it well.
Yeah, me too!
Comfort feels good.
It’s like a cozy Barefoot Dreams blanket that wraps you up (even though it is comforting and sometimes needed), you know the better option is going outside for sunshine.
Getting uncomfortable can be scary. This is true 💯
When you have friends 👯♀️ around you that get you and support you it makes that climb a little more fun each step you take.
God had already been surrounding the right people around me so that when it was my time, they were there to lift me up, be an encouraging word and sometimes (okay, a lot of times 😆) give me tough love.
Supportive family and friends who are there to cheer you on and call you up to that next level while pointing you towards Christ on your journey are essential to an incredible adventure.
What if I told you that could be possible for you too?
Finding a supportive community is something I constantly hear other moms tell me they are looking for.
A place where you as a mom can come and talk about how you snapped at your kid today and feel bad about it, or maybe you have mom friends, but they don’t point you towards Christ when you are down and out or you might need a place where you can just lay it all out on the table and not feel judgment from anyone because, Hi, 👋🏻 I’m right there with you.
Do any of those resonate with you?
If so, you’ve come to the right place!
Launching March 4th is a new community for moms - Rooted Motherhood!
Over the past 6 years I have seen a huge need for moms; especially Christian moms where Christ is at the center of what is talked about.
There are so many groups, courses and communities full of incredible guidance, help and actions to take, but there are few that are centered around God for moms specifically.
I’ve envisioned this as a space where you can be firmly rooted and grow your roots deep into His Word while also talking about real problems you face daily as a mom.
How can we work through it?
What does His Word say?
How can we flip the script of what society is telling us to do and be firmly planted in truth?
Rooted Motherhood is a 3-month program where we will meet bi-weekly for a 1 hour group coach call or added VIP option with 1:1 coaching calls.
We'll dive deep into a singular overarching theme and talk about what God's Word says, grow together in community, talk about real issues and how to face them with Christ at the center.
Ready to get started growing your roots deeper?!
Book a discovery call and let’s chat to see if Rooted Motherhood is a good fit for YOU!
